Held annually during the first weekend in August, the Twins Days Festival continues to be the largest annual gathering of twins in the world. The festival begins on a Friday with a twins golf tournament and evening activities for kids at the local Dodge Intermediate School. Saturday morning is the annual Double Take parade in which tens of thousands of folks line Ravenna Road in Twinsburg as twins walk a mile-long route from the town square to the festival grounds.

The festival itself takes place all day Saturday and Sunday at Glenn Chamberlin Park in the middle of Twinsburg, a city founded by twin brothers Moses and Aaron Wilcox in 1819. Among the activities are look-alike contests, vending booths, entertainment, group photos, rides, twin research and food booths. In 2006, there were just over 2000 officially registered sets of twins at Twins Days.

While at Twins Days, twins and their families are encouraged to explore the nearby Cleveland, Ohio area as many local tourist attractions offer 2-for-1 specials for twins during the time of the weekend festival. The official Twins Days festival web site offers more information and schedules as well as links to local hotels.
