The Parent Trap (2-Disc DVD)
List Price: $29.99
Amazon.com Price: $25.49
The original and still one of the most enjoyable family film ever made about twins. Okay, so it doesn't star twins, but who can forget Hayley Mills as the twins, Sharon and Susan, who try to get their divorced parents (played by Brian Keith and Maureen O'Hara) back together again? The VHS version may be out of stock at Amazon, but it's worth noting that there is a special, new 2-disc DVD re-release of the movie with tons of cool extra features (including commentary by the director and Hayley Mills, animated shorts and many behind-the-scenes looks at the making of the film).
The first in a new series of adventures from the group that created Veggie Tales. Siblings Michelle and Jason are not looking forward to a summer with grandma in the Poconos. Luckily the attic provides a world of wonder, from the giant telescope to gadgets that their late grandpa kept. After an impatient Jason fights with his sister, toy penguins--in their mod spaceship--seemingly come to life, taking Jason on their adventure. Captain Zidgel, engineer Midgel, scientist Fidgel (two of whom are twins but we're not sure which ones) and, well, Kevin are four penguin space cadets who rush to planet Wait-Your-Turn to figure out why the planet is in chaos. Supposedly a little liter in the Christian-themes than Veggie Tales, but still this series is heavy on morals and values. Also available in VHS format for $11.99
The second entrant in this new series from the makers of Veggie Tales. After pig-tailed Michelle cheats her brother in a game of Squid-Tac-Toad, our feathered friends whisk her off to Bullamanka in a last-ditch effort to make peace between a couple of galactic kings. It seems that cheating is a universal phenomenon, and the Lizard King is the culprit. Now, Michelle must agree to contest his victory to save the good Bandicoot King from certain doom down the "gurgler." Also available in VHS format for $11.99.
Features four cartoons and three shorts with the Rugrats Twins, Phil and Lil. One of the cartoons is "Baby Commercial", in which the twins think they should be the stars of a TV commercial. A second is entitled 'Twin's Pique' in which the twins decide to invent new personalities for each other.
Double Teamed

This is a really fun made-for-Disney Channel TV movie that premiered on cable in January, 2002 and is now available on home video. It tells the (slightly fictional) tale of the world's tallest female twins, Heidi and Heather Burge, during their freshman year in high school in Palos Verdes. As Heidi Burge told us, some of the things described in the movie never happened, but who cares? Twins of all ages should have a lot of fun watching the story of twin sisters who really enjoy being with each other.
Twin Falls Idaho (on DVD)
List Price: $27.95
Amazon.com Price: $25.16
A terrific 1999 film about conjoined twins starring real-life twin brothers Michael and Mark Polish, who also wrote, directed and produced the film. Possibly the most engrossing film ever made about twins, you can read more about this low-budget independent film in our in-depth online review. The DVD includes an extended interview with the Polish Twins. NOTE: this film is an adult film dealing with mature subject matter and most children (17 and under) won't like the dark tone or pace of the film.
The Parent Trap (on DVD)
List Price: $22.99
Amazon.com Price: $20.69
A terrific 1998 remake of the classic 1961 Disney film starring the talented Lindsay Lohan as the twins, Hallie and Annie. Natasha Richardson and Dennis Quaid play the parents. In case you're wondering why the remake renamed the girls, Hallie and Annie are the names of the two producer's daughters.
Twins Starring Danny DeVito and Arnold Schwarzenegger
List Price: $14.90
Amazon.com Price: $9.98
A 1988 comedy starring Danny DeVito and Arnold Schwarzenegger as fraternal twins. Okay, it's far-fetched, but the plot has DeVito and Schwarzenegger as genetically designed twin siblings who find each other at age 35.
The House of Yes Starring Parker Posey
List Price: $14.99
Amazon.com Price: $14.99
This well-done film doesn't give twins a good name (let's just say that the brother and sister twins have way too close of a relationship), but is extremely entertaining and boasts of a terrific lead performance by real-life fraternal twin Parker Posey. Again, it's something more for adults than kids.
